JAKE!

So I found these pictures of our precious Jacob and HAD to post them!!!
Jake is such a sweet and vital part in our lives. He is so sweet and funny, little things he says or does has a tendency to brighten my day. I love the little guy so much. Alisha has done an amazing job raising him. She has taken on the role of two parents and I admire her for the faith, values and discpline she has instilled in Jacob. She has created a stable life for Jake and it is showing up in his everyday life. The other day I wanted to cry because my mom told me she made him a peanut butter and jelly sanwhich and all of a sudden he closes his eyes speaks some gibberish, folds his hands and says, "AMEN!" it was precious. I truly believe Jacob has a JEsus in his heart and knows the power of prayer, Alisha has faithfully brought him to church and you can see fruit in not only her life but her child's as well. So Alisha, you are an incredible mother...NEVER forget that.

New Hair!

Okay, so I colored my hair!!!
yes, its not too different, but worthy of a post...I went a lovely shade of dark brown.....
anyways, so thats that. lol

We really enjoyed eachother and I cant wait for teh next event. oh we even had a white elephant gift exchange.. it was fun! Josh got a starbuck card and I got a Frebreze wall smeller-gooder (haha the funny thing is I stole that!!! haha) So here it is guys!

On the 9th Day of Christmas my true love gave to meeeeee...Ooooey Goooey Gumdrops!

Ahhhhh!!! I can smell them in the oven, baking ever so perfectly. Oooey gooey centers and gummy gum gumdrops....Yes its time for tradition number 9. Mom's Gumdrop Cookies. Every year we make this yummy treat for Christmas..they are oh so good!!! First we have to cut up the gumdrops (minus the black ones.. those are for South Pole elfs) we put them in flour so they dont stick together and we cut them with scissors. Its so much fun because we sit and talk while we do it...eat a few gumdrops too :O) These cookies are more than jsut yummy .. they have so many memories... Whenever I taste one I get that warm fuzzy feeling all over because I know how much love is in them and its a family tradition.. My Grandma makes them and she taught my mom and my mom taught me.... anyways.. I am sure you all have your favorite holiday treats so go and enjoy!!!
NOTE: I would like to make a note that Holly and I no longer acknowledge the word "cookie" seeing as it does not make sense. You do not Cook a "cookie" you cook a meatloaf or a pot roast and you BAKE a cookie... so From now on we will be referring to the so-called cookie as
"BAKIE"

Finals. Enough Said.

So I took my very first final today!!
It was at 11 am. for my English 105 class - Literary Criticism. I was expecting a pretty tough exam, but mom and I prayed in the car and it was a cinch!!! I loved that class so much. And to make matters even better my final seminar paper got a B!!!! I was super excited. This class is pretty much impossible to get above a C, just because the standards are high and the material is tough... but anyways, I am so thankful for my professor she has taught me so very much, Dr. Jenkins is the best, I am also in her Victorian Lit class (ahh that fianl is on wednesday. not as easy.. we have to do a passage identification test which means basically there is quotes from all the material we have read and we have to give what book it is from and what author. It wouldnt be so hard if we didnt read 32 books over teh semester...God will help me) So anyways.. what a good way to kick off finals week!
Heres my schedule:
Tonight: Study
Tomorrow: REALLY study
Wednesday: English 152 Victorian Lit (11:00)
Criminology 152 Psychology of Crime (1:15)
Chcano Latin American Studies 170-Brazilian and Mexican culture (3:30)
Thursday: Linguistics 140 Language and Culture of Society (ONLINE!)
Friday: Bake Christmas Cookies with mom and await Holly's return :O)
